Privacy Policy – Posido

Start playing

This notice explains how Posido collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit posido.com.es. We take your privacy seriously and handle your data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Scope of this notice

This privacy policy applies to posido.com.es only. We are an independent information portal covering casino and sports betting services. We do not operate player accounts, process deposits or hold gambling transactions – those activities are handled by the operator we write about, and their own privacy policy governs that relationship.

When we say "we", "us" or "our" in this document, we mean the editorial team running this site at [email protected]. The operator's own support channels are separate.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for posido.com.es is the site operator at [email protected]. We decide what personal information is collected through this portal and why. Questions about how your data is used here should come to that address.

Categories of information we collect

Technical data reaches us automatically when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, operating system, the page you arrived from and the one you click through to. We also record which articles you read and how long you stay.

Contact submissions – when you email [email protected], we collect the address you send from, the content of your message and any attachments. This happens only when you choose to write in.

Cookies and similar technologies – our cookie policy sets out what is stored locally and for how long. Most of it is functional (keeping the language you picked, remembering you declined the banner) or analytical (counting visits, measuring which sections get read).

We do not collect payment details, identity documents, account passwords or any information tied to gambling transactions. Those belong to the operator, not to us.

Lawful basis for processing

We process the technical data above on the basis of legitimate interests – running a readable, secure website requires knowing what breaks, what gets read and where traffic originates. We balance that interest against your rights, and the data involved is minimal.

Contact-form data is processed on the basis of consent – you provided your email and your question voluntarily, and we use them only to answer you.

Analytics cookies rely on consent too, handled through the banner you see on arrival. Declining them does not break the site.

How we use your information

Technical data helps us keep the site running: we identify broken links, track which browsers need testing, and measure whether an article actually answers what people searched for. It also protects against scraping, spam and repeated automated requests that slow the site down for everyone else.

Your email and message go to our editorial inbox, where a person reads them and replies. We do not feed contact submissions into marketing lists, and we do not hand them to third parties for profiling or ads.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not rent lists. We do not build individual profiles for ad targeting. We do not tie your visit history to your real name unless you identify yourself in a message to us.

Sharing your data with third parties

Some functions require passing data to processors who act on our instructions:

  • Hosting provider – server logs and IP addresses reach them because they run the infrastructure; they do not use that data for their own purposes.
  • Analytics platform – if you consented to analytics cookies, aggregate visit data (pages read, time spent, device type) goes to the provider. It is pseudonymised and we see only totals, never individual journeys tied to an identity.
  • CDN and security service – requests pass through a content delivery network that caches pages and filters malicious traffic. IP addresses and request headers are logged there temporarily.

We do not pass data to advertisers, data brokers or affiliate networks. Where a processor operates outside the UK, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place – usually standard contractual clauses approved under UK GDPR.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you. You can ask for a copy, and we will provide it in a readable format within one month.

You have the right to rectification – if something we recorded is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

You have the right to erasure in certain circumstances: when the data is no longer needed for the purpose we collected it, when you withdraw consent and no other lawful basis applies, or when it was processed unlawfully. Server logs and aggregate analytics cannot be unpicked retroactively, but identifiable records like your email correspondence can be deleted on request.

You have the right to restrict processing – to ask us to hold data without using it while a dispute is resolved.

You have the right to data portability – to receive the information you provided in a structured, commonly used format, and to send it to another controller where technically feasible.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing. We do not run marketing campaigns, but you may object to analytics or technical logging; doing so may limit what we can investigate if something breaks.

You have the right to withdraw consent at any time for processing that relies on it. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before you withdrew.

How to exercise your rights

Send a request to [email protected]. Include enough detail for us to identify the data you are asking about – the email address you used, the approximate date of contact, or the pages you are concerned with. We will respond within one month. If the request is complex or we receive several at once, we may extend that by two months and will tell you why.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's supervisory authority for data protection. Visit ico.org.uk or call their helpline on 0303 123 1113. You can go to them before coming to us, or after if our response does not satisfy you.

How long we keep your data

Server logs are rotated every 90 days. Analytics data is held in aggregate form for two years, then archived or deleted. Your email correspondence stays in our inbox until the matter is resolved, then for a further six months in case you follow up – after that it is deleted unless we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.

Cookie lifespans are set out in the cookie policy. Most expire within a year; a few functional preferences last longer so you do not have to reset the language each visit.

Protection of minors

This site covers gambling services, and access is restricted to persons aged 18 and over (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under that age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

Consider installing parental-control software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio on any device a minor might use.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this notice to reflect changes in how we handle data, or to meet new legal requirements. When we do, the revised version will carry a new date at the bottom of this page. Significant changes will be flagged at the top of the policy for a reasonable period. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Contact
